Escape from Vietnam: Van's Story by Mabel Ngo November—January Our book for December and January will be Escape From Vietnam by Mabel Ngo. Mabel is a learner at the Monrovia Public Library and with her tutor, Eileen Blasius, she wrote about her father-in-law's escape from Vietnam and the difficulties he faced to save his family. If you would like to support the Literacy Center and purchase another copy of the book, they are on sale for $10 at the Friends Book Store. All the proceeds will go towards the Literacy Center.
